About Us

La Boheme is an independent online shop based in Heaton Moor in Greater Manchester, selling beautiful Antique and Vintage pieces.

I (Lauren) have always had a passion for history and beautiful things. La Boheme is a culmination of everything that is beautiful, romantic and nostalgic.

About Us

La Boheme encapsulates the beauty and romance of authentic period living, offering stand out statement pieces for your home.

We’re led by our own personal style, rather than passing trends. Inspired by the Golden Age of Europe - from the opulence and grandeur of 19th century European palaces the streets of Bohemian and the rich culture of the Belle Epoque - think Renoir, Zola, Picasso. To the sun drenched villages of historic Provence. This is about beautiful living and living beautifully. Making life an art.

The secret of happiness lies in taking a genuine interest in all the details of everyday life and elevating them into art

William Morris

Our Collections

While our collection is a moveable feast, we specialise in French and European antiques. We love beautiful authentic pieces that have provenance and a story behind them. Our range includes antique gilt mirrors, chandeliers, antique art and vintage tableware. Every item is unique, interesting and always beautiful.

Beauty will save the world

About Us

Among the Bohemians

We came up with the name of La Boheme on our honeymoon in Italy. The name comes from the eponymous Italian Opera. The story of four struggling bohemians - a poet, a painter, a musician and a philosopher in 19th century Paris. We loved the Italian and French references and with so many of our pieces being inspired by the artists of the period, it seemed to fit perfectly.

La Boheme celebrates beauty, history, art, creativity, romance and freedom. Not unlike those  did in 19th Century Paris.
